A familiar Hans Christian Anderson tale set to the music of Rossini, this presentation of “The Princess and the Pea” offers a unique introduction to the world of puppetry. Viewers will observe the use of a variety of types of puppets from a simple ball on a single finger to a complex ten-string marionette as puppet masters work in full view of audience members. “Conventional and unconventional puppetry has been a hallmark of the Puppet Arts Theatre for many years now,” states Emmy award-winning puppeteer Peter Zapletal. Children from the audience may have the opportunity to assist the puppet masters during the show.
